Breast Reduction

A breast reduction procedure involves removing the patient's fat, glandular tissue, and skin from their breasts. For a reduction in breast-size, some of the breast tissue may be removed and the nipples relocated higher on the breasts for cosmetic reasons. As with breast augmentation, this procedure is typically performed on women, but some men with gynecomastia may also choose to have the procedure. A breast reduction is normally undergone to treat women suffering from neck, back, shoulder, circulation, and/or breathing problems caused by their large, heavy breasts. This elective procedure will result in smaller, firmer, lighter, and less-intrusive breasts for the patient.
